NetterTech Events Seating

NetterTech Events Seating adds reserved seating to your events. Build a visual seat map for your venue, assign pricing tiers by section, and let attendees pick specific seats during WooCommerce checkout. Seat availability updates in real time, and holds auto-expire if checkout isn’t completed.

Seating is a separate commercial plugin that extends the free NetterTech Events plugin. It adds a Seat Maps admin screen and integrates with the event editor and WooCommerce cart.

What Seating adds

Seat Map Builder – A visual drag-and-drop editor for your venue layout. Create sections, rows, and individual seats. Define aisles, stage areas, and standing zones. Seat maps are reusable across events.

Reserved seating at checkout – Attendees see an interactive seat picker during WooCommerce checkout and choose their seats before paying. Seat availability updates in real time; holds expire automatically if checkout isn’t completed within the configured window.

Section and tier pricing – Set different prices by section, row, or individual seat. Create named pricing tiers (Orchestra, Mezzanine, Balcony) that map to seat map regions.

Accessible seating – Designate wheelchair-accessible seats and companion seats. Accessible sections appear prominently in the seat picker with proper labeling for WCAG compliance.

WooCommerce integration – Seat selections flow through the standard WC cart and checkout. Seat assignments appear on tickets, confirmation emails, and check-in records. PDF tickets (in NetterTech Events Pro) include seat location.

Requirements

  • NetterTech Events (free plugin) installed and active
  • WordPress 6.4+
  • PHP 8.2+
  • WooCommerce 8.5+
  • NetterTech Events Pro recommended (for PDF tickets with seat info)

Getting started

  1. Build a seat map for your venue.
  2. Assign the seat map to an event from the event editor.
  3. Configure ticket types to match your pricing tiers.
  4. Test the attendee flow by purchasing a test ticket on the frontend.
