Check-In
For site administrators and event staff managing door check-in.
Manual check-in (Free)
Go to Events > Check-In and select your event from the dropdown. For recurring events, select the specific occurrence date.
Search the attendee list by name or email. Click any row to mark the attendee as checked in. The page shows a running total of checked-in attendees vs. tickets sold, updated in real time.
QR code check-in (Pro)
Attendees receive a QR code in their ticket confirmation email. On event day:
- Open Events > Check-In on any device with a camera. The interface works on phones and tablets.
- Select the event, then tap Scan QR Code.
- Point the camera at the attendee’s QR code. A green confirmation means checked in; red means the code has already been used or the ticket is invalid.
If an attendee doesn’t have their QR code, fall back to manual name or email search.
Volunteer check-in mode (Pro)
Door staff don’t need a WordPress login to check in attendees.
Go to Events > Check-In > Generate Volunteer Link for your event. This creates a unique URL you can share with volunteers. The link:
- Is valid for one event only
- Expires after the event ends
- Can be deactivated at any time from the same screen
- Can be generated multiple times for multiple entry points
Volunteers open the URL on their device and get access to the check-in interface without any WordPress credentials.
After the event
When check-in closes, Events > Check-In shows a summary: total attendees, number checked in, and a breakdown by ticket type.
Use Export Report to download a CSV for records, reconciliation, or grant reporting.
